2-Alarm Fire Engulfs Lower Moreland Home

LOWER MORELAND, Pa. (CBS) -- Firefighters battled a fire that engulfed a home in Montgomery County Monday morning.

The fire started at about 9:15 a.m. inside a home in the 400 block of Welsh Road in Lower Moreland.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene shortly after the fire where it showed heavy smoke and flames billowing from the home.

The fire reached two alarms before it was placed under control shortly after 11 a.m.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The American Red Cross is assisting two people who were impacted by the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
