12 Displaced After Northeast Philly House Fire

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Twelve people were displaced after a house fire in Philadelphia early Friday morning.

The fire was reported at about 2 a.m. inside a home in the 1400 block of Rosalie Street in the city's Oxford Circle section.

When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy smoke and flames billowing from the rear of the two-story home.

Firefighters were able to quickly place the fire under control.

According to fire officials, a total of 12 people -- six adults and six children -- were able to escape the fire safely.

The home sustained significant and the 12 residents have been left displaced.

There no were reports of any injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
