$10K Reward Offered In South Philadelphia Sex Assault; Police Call Suspect 'Sadistic'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Neighbors are keeping their eyes open after police release new images of an alleged sexual predator in Point Breeze.

Using time stamps on a variety of surveillance cameras, police believe the suspect entered his victim's home on Rosewood Street twice Monday morning.

"Sadistic and bold, " said Lt. Anthony McFadden.

Police have a clearer picture of a man suspected of sexually assaulting a South Philadelphia woman.

Investigators hope, with new images, surveillance video and a $10,000 reward someone will turn this alleged predator in.

The man entered the victim's home early Monday morning on the 1800 block of Rosewood Street.

He left stealing the victim's car.

Police released video of him parking the it on Moore Street near Chadwick.

Using time stamps on surveillance cameras, police have determined the suspect then returned back to the victim's home and carried out his attack.

"Get in and out of that house without anybody seeing him or hearing him. He took the opportunity and went back," said Lt. McFadden.

The suspect is also being tied to another attack that happened on a few blocks away on Chadwick Street in March.

A sketch was released after that incident.

In both attacks, the man was wearing red gloves.

And because the suspect fled on foot and targeted women in the same area, police say he may live nearby.

Captain Darby said, "The community has to take a look at this and say we are not going to tolerate that."

We showed neighbors the picture of the suspect, so they can keep a watchful eye.

Betty Crociante said, "They get away with it once, twice and they think 'oh I got away with it I'm going to do it again.' Doesn't work that way."

The suspect is described as a black man, 20 to 30-years-old, about 6 foot to 6'2 with a medium build.

Again, there is a $10,000 reward.

If you have any information you are being asked to contact police.
