10-Year-Old Dies After Accidental Drowning In Mayfair
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A young child has died after an accidental drowning in Northeast Philadelphia Wednesday.
The incident happened at about 11:30 a.m. inside of a home in the 3100 block of Magee Avenue in Mayfair.
The 10-year-old boy's grandmother found him face down in the bathtub and called 911.
The boy was rushed to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and pronounced dead at 12:12 p.m.
The child reportedly had a previous medical condition.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
