1 Shot At Delaware State University Off Campus Residence Hall

DOVER, Del., (CBS) – A student is hospitalized after a shooting outside of an off-campus residence hall, a Delaware State University spokesperson confirmed to CBS 3 Eyewitness News.

The spokesperson said it happened Monday in the parking lot of the Living and Learning Commons, located in the 1500 block of N. DuPont Highway in Dover.  The residence hall was a former hotel.

The spokesperson says the victim was taken to a local hospital. The victim reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is still at large, according to the spokesperson.

According to the University's Twitter page, the campus lockdown has been lifted.

The Delaware State University Police Department is working with Dover Police in investigating this incident.
