1 Man Killed, 3 Others Wounded In Camden Street Shooting

CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — A street shooting in Camden has left one man dead and three others wounded.

Camden County prosecutors say the shooting in the 2800 block of Mitchell Street was reported around 12:05 a.m. Sunday.

County police found 44-year-old city resident Tito Gomez lying in a parking lot with a gunshot wound. He died a short time later at a hospital.

Two other victims, a 23-year-old Camden man and 22-year-old Pennsauken man, were found at an apartment in the 2800 block of Saunders Street. Both victims reported being shot on Mitchell Street and then running to a friend's residence.

The fourth victim, a 22-year-old Camden man, was driven to the hospital by a friend.

Prosecutors say the three wounded men were all treated at a hospital and released later Sunday.

A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
