DA: 2 Dead In Ambler Shooting

AMBLER, Pa. (CBS) -- The Montgomery County District Attorney's office confirms two people are dead after a late-night shooting at the Forest Garden Apartments in Ambler.

The victims have been identified as Janice Trunk, 54, and Kevin Milton Smith, 44.

The call came into police late Sunday night after neighbors described hearing a series of gunshots.

A family member of Trunk's, who lived at the apartments, says she got a call around 2:00 a.m., that her sister had been shot and killed.

The relationship between the two victims is unclear.

Kimberly Trunk says, "I can't even cry, I'm just in shock. She was my last relative, that's it. I don't have anybody now. Somebody took it from me."

A Montgomery County DA spokeswoman says they are ruling out the possibility of a murder-suicide.

It is unclear if the victims were targeted.

The investigation is ongoing.
