Woman Killed In Delco House Fire, Husband Critical

BOOTHWYN, Pa. (CBS) – Authorities have confirmed a woman is dead after a fire ripped through a home in Boothwyn, Delaware County Sunday evening.

Fire crews responded around 5 p.m. to the home in the 2000 block of Blueball Avenue.

The 50-year-old victim was said to be trapped on the second floor of the home when crews arrived. She was unable to get out and died as a result, officials say.

The victim's husband tried to rescue his wife. He ended up being taken to the hospital where he is in critical condition.

There's still no word on what caused the blaze.
