2 Killed In Burlington County Car Accident

BROWNS MILLS, NJ (CBS) -- Authorities say two people have died following a car accident in Browns Mills, New Jersey.

Chopper 3 was over the scene of the crash on Route 70 near mile marker 32. Officials were on the scene of the deadly crash, which shut down both directions of the major roadway, around 2:00 p.m. on Monday.

Authorities say the car struck a tree and the impact was enough to rip the car in half.

Police are investigating what caused the accident and whether any other vehicles played a role.
