1 Injured In Paintball Shooting Near Temple's Campus

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating a paintball shooting that left one person injured near Temple University's campus.

Authorities say they received a call just before 2 p.m. about a report of someone firing a paintball gun on the 1500 block of Diamond Street. Officials say they are considering investigating the incident as an assault since at least one person was injured.

An alert was sent to students telling them to avoid the area due to increased police activity.

As of 3:30 p.m. police were still out looking for the suspect.
