UPDATE: 2 People Tied Up, Male Pistol-whipped During North Philadelphia Home Invasion

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Chopper 3 was over the scene of a home invasion in North Philadelphia on Thursday night.

The incident was reported shortly before 11 p.m. at a home on the 400 block of West Venango Street.

Five men wearing masks and armed with guns apparently entered the home then tied up the two occupants, a male and a female. The male was handcuffed, duct-taped and pistol whipped. He was transported to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

The two were also robbed, though it's unclear what was taken from the home.

The incident is under investigation.
