1 Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash On Route 55 In South Jersey

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) -- At least one person was injured during a multi-vehicle crash on a South Jersey roadway Friday morning.

The crash happened at about 5:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Route 55 near the exit for Route 40 in Franklin Township.

According to investigators, the crash involved a dump truck and four other vehicles.

One person was airlifted from the scene to Cooper University Hospital in an unknown condition.

It was not immediately known if there were other injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
