GLENSIDE, Pa. (CBS) -- Police say a man is in custody in connection with a shooting Friday afternoon at a Montgomery County cab company.

"Details are sketchy, but apparently there was a dispute over money that was owed and the victim is the owner of the business. The suspect is an employee," said  Abington Township Dep. Police Chief John Livingood.

Police say it happened shortly before 2 p.m. Friday in Glenside.

Abington police rushed to a taxi company, the owner injured inside, and the alleged suspect gone.

"This is an obviously a nice community.  We think it's a very safe one and this is a very unusual situation for us to have here," said Chief Livingood.

Investigators say the alleged suspect fled and was taken into custody near 72nd and Woodland Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia.

"He was taken into custody apparently without incident. We're in the process now of getting Abington detectives down there to deal with that situation," said Chief Livingood.

Meanwhile the victim and owner of the taxi company should recover.

"He's been stabilized as far as I know," said Chief Livingood.

Abington Police say they are arranging to bring the suspect to Abington to face multiple charges in connection with the shooting.
