FDNY: One World Trade Center Is Not On Fire, Despite Social Media Worries
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Many New Yorkers took to taking to social media believing that One World Trade Center was on fire, but that was not the case at all.
Pictures and video posted to Twitter show what appears to be smoke emanating from the top of the skyscraper.
However, the FDNY said there is no fire.
"We can confirm that there is no fire to report at the WTC," the FDNY tweeted.

CBS2's Jessica Schneider reported that the photos looked like steam coming off of WTC.
Despite the confirmation from the Fire Department, some still insisted that they were right about the fire.
I just called @FDNY and they confirmed: There is no fire at One World Trade Center, despite "unsound" reports to the contrary.
