Police: 2 Women Attacked, Groped In Ridgewood, Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a man who allegedly attacked and robbed two women in Queens earlier this month.

According to police, a 20-year-old woman was thrown to the ground and forcibly groped by the suspect as she was walking in the Ridgewood section of Queens at around 1:40 a.m. on March 19. The suspect grabbed the woman's genitals and fled before stealing anything from the woman, police said.

Five minutes later, the suspect attacked another woman -- grabbing her from behind and putting her hands on her neck as she was walking near Harman Avenue. The suspect then groped the 25-year-old woman and stole her purse before fleeing, according to police.

The NYPD has released a surveillance image of the suspect, which can be viewed above. The police are asking anyone with information about the incident to cal Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
