Woman Struck By Stray Bullet In Lobby Of Mount Eden Building

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A woman was struck with a stray bullet while she was getting mail in the lobby of her Mount Eden building, Thursday.

Blake lives in 1555 Grand Concourse, but wanted to know what happened. After seeing bullet holes in the door, he pointed to two bullet scars in the bricks.

"Not really (surprised) the gun situation's getting a little fishy," he told 1010 WINS Al Jones.

Blake said he was sorry to hear that his 58-year-old neighbor was struck in the leg while standing in the lobby.

Just Monday, two other innocent bystanders were shot on the street.

"That's a little scary. I hope she pulls through," he said.

The woman was at St. Barnabas Hospital in serious but stable condition, police were looking for the shooter.
