FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A woman who was stopped for speeding in Farmingdale on Tuesday had three guns, marijuana and prescription pills in her vehicle, according to Nassau County police.

Authorities say 24-year-old Yulisa Almonte refused to pull her Honda over when officers flashed their blue lights at her shortly after midnight, WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reports.

When Almonte finally pulled over, officers detected the smell of marijuana, and after a search of the vehicle, not only did they find marijuana, but also found prescription pills and hidden guns, authorities said.

Two of the weapons found were hidden in a special compartment called a trap, police said.

"Traps are generally to conceal contraband," said Detective Vincent Garcia. "It can be handguns, it can be drugs, and they are well-hidden. You know in some vehicles they might pull out of the passenger compartment, they might pull out the airbags so that you believe the vehicle does have an airbag on the passenger side. This one happened to be under the center console of the vehicle."

Police are checking to see if any of the weapons were used to commit any crimes.
