Woman, Grown Son Accused Of Selling Heroin To Undercover Cop In Long Beach

LONG BEACH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A woman and her grown son were arrested this week, after they allegedly sold heroin to an undercover law enforcement agent in Long Beach, Long Island.

Kelly Cavanagh, 53, and her son, William Cavanagh, 22, sold an undisclosed amount of heroin to the agent at the apartment where they lived on Shore Road in Long Beach around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, Nassau County police said.

On Wednesday, they were both located by officers from the Nassau County police Bureau of Special Operations, and arrested, police said.

Both suspects were charged with criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance, police said.

They were arraigned Thursday in Nassau County First District Court In Hempstead.
