Woman Dies After Being Pulled From Fire In Essex Fells, NJ

ESSEX FELLS, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A woman found inside a burning Essex County home has died from her injuries, authorities said.

The cause of the deadly blaze in Essex Fells remains under investigation.

Firefighters responded to the Fells Road home around 2:35 a.m. Sunday, the Essex County prosecutor's office said. The woman was soon found in the home and rushed to Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge, where she died shortly after 4 a.m, NJ.com reported.

A cause of death has not been determined.

The woman's name was not released, pending notification of relatives. It appears that she was alone in the home when the fire started.

No other injuries were reported in the blaze.
