Police: Woman Arrested For Leaving Infant In Car While Grocery Shopping

WESTPORT, Conn. (CBSNewYork) -- A woman was arrested after police say she left an infant inside of an unlocked, running vehicle Saturday afternoon in Westport.

Authorities responded to Whole Foods parking lot where they discovered 30-year-old Milan Kunajukr was inside the store and left the infant unattended inside the vehicle for about seven minutes.

The temperature at the time of the incident was about 84 degrees, officials confirmed.

Kunajukr was arrested and the Department of Children and Families was notified.

She is expected to appear in court on Aug. 10.
