Man Fatally Stabbed During Traffic Altercation In West Babylon

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- One person was killed, and another injured, in a stabbing in West Babylon Friday morning.

Suffolk County Police said two vehicles were traveling on Straight Path when an altercation happened.

Both groups got out of the vehicles and two men were stabbed during the dispute around 9:20 a.m.

Nyquan Banister, 22, of North Babylon, was pronounced dead at an area hospital. The other victim, a 21-year-old man from North Babylon, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a white SUV with out-of-state license plates.
