Good Samaritans Help Couple Retrieve Wedding Ring From Drain

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Two complete strangers came to the rescue of a woman who lost her wedding ring down a drain.

CBS2's Jessica Schneider happened upon the scene in Central Park on Sunday.

Bryan Antol hugged one of the good Samaritans after they recovered the ring.

Antol and his wife Tiffany are visiting from Arizona. They were strolling by the park when Tiffany adjusted her ring and it slipped off her finger.

Bryan was trying to fish it out with wire hangers when the other men came along.

"I honestly didn't think they'd do it. Like I was working on it like 20 minutes and they came up and said 'mind if we give it a crack,'" Antol said.

Bryan tried to pay the men, but they refused to accept.
