8/11 CBS2 Thursday Afternoon Weather Headlines

There will be a shower and storm here and there this afternoon, but the main story will be the heat. Temps will spike right around 90 degrees, but with dew points in the low to mid 70s, feels like temps will be closer to 100°! Stay cool!

After a passing shower or storm this evening, things will quiet down into the overnight. It will be another muggy one with temps only falling to the upper 70s.

It's more of the same tomorrow with a quiet, muggy start giving way to an even hotter and unsettled afternoon. Our high will be in the low 90s, but feels like temps will meet or exceed 100 degrees.

We could be in for our 2nd heat wave of the season if the forecast holds true through Saturday. Highs that day are expected to be in the low and mid 90s. But again, because of the humidity, feels like temps will be loser to 105°! Showers and storms are expected in the afternoon, especially N&W.

As for Sunday, the heat and humidity will persist with a chance of showers and storms.
