Cops Hunting For Man Who Roughed Up Female Officer In East Harlem

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is looking for a man who punched a female cop early Sunday morning, breaking some of her teeth and cutting her lip.

A police spokesman told WCBS 880's Monica Miller the officer was attacked around 1:30 a.m. while confronting a group of people at the Clinton Houses at Park Avenue and East 104th Street.

Cops are now searching for a man about 6 feet, 5 inches tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with red writing on it.

The officer was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital for treatment and was in stable condition.
