Water Main Break On UES Forces Closures On First, Second Avenues

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A water main break on Sunday morning made a mess on the Upper East Side.

The break happened on East 71st Street and Second Avenue.

Flooding in the area forced officials to shut down parts of First and Second avenues.

High water sent debris mixed with snow and ice floating down the street.

The flood left watermarks on basement doors in the area.

There was no immediate word on how much damage was done.
