Boil Water Advisory Issued After Water Main Break In Monmouth County

MONMOUTH COUNTY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- New Jersey American Water has issued a boil warning for Monmouth County residents following a water main break in Litter Silver.

Officials say they are working to get the 36-inch main break on Rumson Place repaired.

Customers may experience low water pressure through the repair process, and officials advise all residents to boil their water before drinking at this time.

Officials also advise to refrain from using outdoor water sources, like hose water, and to throw out food that may have been cooked with tap water at this time.

The repairs are ongoing.
