WATCH: Marcus Mariota Tweaks Jets, Giants During Letterman 'Top 10'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Ouch, Marcus.

Ouch.

Oregon's Heisman-winning quarterback Marcus Mariota -- arguably the most-coveted player in the 2015 NFL draft -- was on hand Monday to deliver the Top 10 list on "Late Show with David Letterman." The subject: "Thoughts that went through Marcus Mariota's mind when he won the Heisman trophy."

We all knew what was coming.

"I'd like to play in the NFL," he joked. "Does New York have any professional teams?"

The Jets, one of the league's worst clubs, would jump at the chance to draft Mariota. But it's looking more and more like he'll be out of reach after Sunday's win improved Gang Green's record to 3-11. The Giants have won two straight, plodding along at 5-9.

In fairness, Mariota didn't write the zinger.

Unfortunately, as the saying goes, it's funny 'cause it's true.
