WATCH: Gov. Christie Unexpectedly Calls Boomer & Carton, Predicts Rangers In 6

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- New Jersey Governor Chris Christie -- an old friend of the Boomer & Carton program -- called up the morning show unexpectedly on Wednesday morning.

They talked about -- what else? -- the Rangers and their bid to win their first Stanley Cup in 20 years.

Christie, of course, is a diehard Blueshirts fan. And despite the fact that the majority of experts are picking the Kings to win their second Cup in three years, the governor strongly believes that his Rangers will complete their miracle run.

"You watch the way the Rangers played, especially in the third period in Game 6 against the Canadiens ... I don't think that the Kings are gonna have any easy time with the Rangers," Christie told Boomer & Carton. "I think we're gonna win this thing in six."

The Kings had to play the maximum 21 Stanley Cup Playoff games to get to the Final, while it took the Rangers 20 games to get there. The Rangers beat the Flyers and the Penguins in seven before taking down Montreal in six in the Eastern Conference finals.

The puck will drop for Game 1 on Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. in Log Angeles.

"Rangers in six is my prediction, and I will predict tonight: Rangers - 4, Kings - 2," the governor told the radio duo.

Let's get it started!
