New Weekend Curfew Goes Into Effect At Washington Square Park

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Despite the nice weather, people won't be able to hang out in Washington Square Park on Saturday night.

Crowds of rowdy people have been hanging out in the park until all hours of the night. Residents complain of loud music, lots of trash and bad behavior.

Now, a new weekend curfew closes the park at 10 p.m.

The Parks Enforcement Patrol says right now, the curfew is for this weekend and next weekend.
