Police: Man Sped Off During Traffic Stop In Washington Heights

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Video Tuesday night showed a suspect speeding off during a traffic stop in Washington Heights.

Police said they spotted the man driving recklessly through the neighborhood, and they pulled him over near 179th Street, but he sped away.

The driver was identified as Euclides Abreuurena, 24. He remained on the loose late Tuesday.

Police said he pulled away while the officers were reviewing his paperwork.
