FDNY Controls 3-Alarm Warehouse Fire In Mott Haven, Bruckner Expressway Reopened

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Firefighters battled a massive fire at a warehouse in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx on Monday evening.

Citizen video shows huge clouds of smoke from the building at 307 Bruckner Blvd.

The fire, which grew to three alarms in the late afternoon, started just before 2 p.m. and was controlled by 7 p.m., officials said.

The smoke was so bad in the area, all lanes of the Bruckner Expressway were closed in both directions at 138th Street, but have since been reopened.

No injuries were immediately reported. In all, 140 firefighters from 33 units responded.
