Virginia Beach Man Charged In Fatal West Harlem Public Housing Shooting

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Virginia Beach, Virginia man has been charged in a shooting that left a man dead in a West Harlem public housing development.

At 2:41 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, Todd Wilson, 48, was shot in the torso and killed in a building at 1420 Amsterdam Ave., in the Manhattanville Houses New York City Housing Authority development.

Wilson was taken to Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead police said.

Police in September identified Bryan Rogers, 29, of Virginia Beach as the suspect.

On Tuesday, Rogers was brought back to New York from Bedford, Virginia, by NYPD detectives, police said. He was charged with murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.
