Police Release New Video In Shooting Death Of Cuomo Aide

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have released new video of a man wanted for questioning in connection with the fatal shooting of an aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Carey Gabay, 43, first deputy general counsel at the Empire State Development Corp., was shot in the head by a stray bullet Sept. 7 during a pre-dawn party celebrating the West Indian Day parade in Brooklyn.

Around 3:40 a.m., Gabay was walking north on Bedford Avenue between Sullivan Place and Montgomery Street, when multiple shots were fired in front of 1680 Bedford Ave., police said.

Investigators said one gunman was shooting from the street while a second fired from the deck area of the Ebbets Field Houses. Gabay was hit in the head by a bullet as he dove between parked cars for safety.

Gabay died nine days later.

Police also released a video Sept. 11 of the man they are seeking.
