Victor Cruz Says '80 Percent' Chance He's A Giant Next Season

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)Victor Cruz says there's about an 80 percent chance he'll be back with the Giants next season.

The wide receiver made the comment to USA Today in a Q&A published online Tuesday.

He didn't elaborate on his situation – the lighthearted interview mostly touched on topics such as Rob Gronkowski's partying, celebration dances and texting former teammates.

Cruz, 29, hasn't played in a game since tearing his patellar tendon in October 2014. A calf injury kept him out all of last season.

Cruz told the New York Post earlier this month he is still rehabbing but expects to be able to play in 2016.

The Paterson, New Jersey, native is under contract with the Giants for the next three years and has a $9.9 million salary cap hit next season. There has been media speculation that the team might ask Cruz to accept a pay cut.
