Police: 3 Arrested After Man Beaten, Stabbed In Valley Stream Home

VALLEY STREAM, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Three men are facing attempted murder charges in connection with a brutal attack at a Long Island home earlier this week.

A 27-year-old man had gone to a house on Jedwood Place in Valley Stream on Monday night in an attempt to recover property for a friend.

When he got to the home, police said he was confronted by three men who punched him, kicked him and then struck him in the head with a black handgun.

The victim was then handcuffed, placed in a bathtub and stabbed repeatedly with a steak knife, police said. He was then thrown in a car and dumped on Midvale Lane.

The victim was able to walk to a hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries, police said.

Johnathan Faneytt, 21, of Valley Stream; Jesus V. Maldonado, 22, of West Hempstead; and Jorge Freire- Romero, 19, of Valley Stream face attempted murder, kidnapping and various weapons charges.

Faneytt also faces drug charges.
