Upper West Side Woman Needs Homes For 600 Baby Turtles
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An Upper West Side woman is looking for homes for hundreds of turtles.
Lorri Cramer is licensed by the state to rehabilitate turtles.
Environmental officials called her for help after seizing a load of turtles from a Chinatown warehouse.
Cramer thought there would be about 50, but more than 600 turtles were brought to her apartment and are now living in several bins in her bathroom.
The red-eared sliders are considered an invasive species.
