Woman, 66, Struck And Critically Injured By Vehicle On Upper East Side

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 66-year-old woman was in critical condition late Monday after being struck by a vehicle on the Upper East Side.

The woman was struck at First Avenue and 84th Street Monday evening by a vehicle of an unknown make and model, police told CBS2.

The driver remained on the scene, police said.

The woman was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

The woman was expected to survive, police said.

The accident remained under investigation late Monday night. Police said there was no criminality involved.
