2 Men Sought In Upper East Side Armed Robbery

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for two men wanted in an early-morning armed robbery on the Upper East Side.

It happened just before 6 a.m. Tuesday on East 89th Street east of Fifth Avenue just steps from Central Park.

Two men armed with guns held up a 32-year-old man sleeping on a bench in front of the National Academy Museum across from the Guggenheim Museum, 1010 WINS' Juliet Papa reported.

The suspects took cash and a duffel bag, which contained a laptop and camera, Papa reported.

The victim was hit in the face and sustained an injury under his eye.

He was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital for treatment.

The suspects remain on the loose.
