NYPD: Man With 2 Kids Caught On Video Stealing Bikes On Upper East Side

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The search is on for a man police believe stole two bicycles on the Upper East Side while in the company of two children.

On April 12, the suspect walked down to a basement on 60th Street, broke into a storage locker and stole two bikes before taking off, police said.

In surveillance video released by police, the suspect can be seen walking with one child and pushing another in a stroller.

Police believe the suspect is 18 to 30 years old with tattoos. He was last seen wearing a hat with the words, "New York" on it, and diamond earrings.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  The public can also submit tips to the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
