Unknown Chemical Leaves Man Burned Outside Midtown East Building

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man suffered burns Monday evening when he came into contact with some kind of chemical at a Midtown East building.

Paramedics responded to the building at 250 Park Ave., at 47th Street, around 6:10 p.m. after the man burned his hand, the FDNY told 1010 WINS.

The chemical involved was not immediately identified. Reports that the injured man was a FedEx driver were not immediately confirmed.

The man was taken NewYork Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center, the FDNY said.
