Officials: Underage Girls Forced Into Prostitution At NJ Motel, 4 Arrested

SOUTH HACKENSACK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Four people are facing charges after three underage girls were reportedly forced into engage in acts of prostitution at a motel in New Jersey in early October.

According to officials, the three underage girls were taken to a motel in South Hackensack on Oct. 2 and were forced to engage in prostitution.

Edwin Boneta, 22, of Central Islip, Jefferson Contreras, 18, of Bay Shore, Selena Boneta, 19, of West Babylon, and Stephanie Boneta, 23, of Paterson were arrested and charged with multiple counts of human trafficking and endangering the welfare of a child.

Edwin Boneta, Selena Boneta and Contreras will be arraigned in Suffolk County, where they were arrested. The duo will stay at Suffolk County Correctional Center as they await possible extradition to New Jersey.

Stephanie Boneta was arrested in New Jersey and was held on $225,000 bail, officials said. She was moved to Bergen County Jail to await trial.

The condition of the victims was not immediately known.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned in October.
