Unconscious Man Rescued From Norwegian Gem Cruise Ship In New York Harbor
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- It wasn't smooth sailing for a cruise ship in New York Harbor Friday.
The Norwegian Gem was between the Statue Of Liberty and the Verrazano Bridge when a medical call came through of a report of a man who was unconscious on the cruise ship, CBS2's Joe Biermann reported.
The FDNY sent a medical rescue boat to get the man off of the ship.
The FDNY said the man was taken to Staten Island University Hospital North, and his condition was reported as stable, 1010 WINS reported.
It was not clear whether he had suffered an injury or an illness.
