Worker Dies After Fall From Scaffold On Upper East Side

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A worker fell to his death from a scaffold on the Upper East Side Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

Around 4:30 p.m., police were dispatched to 363 E. 76th St., near First Avenue, after the 30-year-old man fell form the scaffold.

The man had been on a high floor, and was in traumatic arrest when he was found, police said.

The man was taken to NewYork Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The worker's identity had not been released early Tuesday evening.
