Two Men Found Shot To Death On Newark Street Corner

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- Two men have died after they were found shot on a Newark street corner.

Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray says the victims were found around 12:20 a.m. Saturday in the area of West Bigelow Street and Milford Avenue. Officers had gone there after receiving reports of an injured person.

Both victims were found lying in the street, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Each was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Murray says authorities have not yet identified either victim. She declined comment on a possible motive.

Further details on the shooting, including how many people may have been involved or what type of weapon was used, were not disclosed.

No arrests have been made.
