Two Seriously Hurt When Tree Falls On Car In New Jersey Identified

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Two people seriously hurt when a tree fell on top of their car in Morristown, New Jersey have been identified.

According to police, 57 year-old Tanya Blaine of Roselle was in the driver's seat and 46 year-old Nikisha Turner of Morristown was in the passenger seat.

The incident happened Monday night on Ford Avenue.

Police said both victims became trapped underneath the tree and had to be rescued by emergency crews.

Both victims are said to be still in the hospital. Police said Blaine is still in critical condition while Turner has been moved to stable condition.

Severe thunderstorms moved through the area right around the time of the incident.

Authorities believe the storm was also to blame for a building collapse that injured a woman in Poughkeepsie.
