Police: Pair Attacked, Robbed Woman In Two Bridges On Christmas Night

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Wednesday were searching for two suspects in the Christmas night robbery of a woman in Two Bridges.

Police were called around 11:50 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 25, after the 31-year-old woman was attacked near Catherine and Henry streets in the neighborhood in Lower Manhattan.

The suspects – a man and a woman – approached the woman from behind hit her in the head with an unknown object, and took her pocketbook, police said.

The suspects then ran off with the victim's money, police said.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital Center with cuts to her leg and lip and bruising on her head and arm. She was treated and released, police said.

Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspects.
