NHL: Tuesday's Rangers-Isles Showdown To Start On Time Despite Snow
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Oh, it's on.
Despite snow hitting the Tri-State area Monday into Tuesday, the Islanders will host the rival Rangers at Nassau Coliseum at 7:00 on Tuesday night.

On Tuesday morning, the Islanders' official website read, "A massive blizzard hit the Tri-State area on Monday afternoon and continued into Tuesday morning, but as of this moment, the game is still scheduled to be played at 7 p.m. at Nassau Coliseum. Please stay tuned to NewYorkIslanders.com for any updates on the start time of the game."

Travel bans have been lifted across New York, and New Jersey has also lifted its travel ban.
The Islanders (31-14-1) are in first place in the Metropolitan Division, five points ahead of the third-place Rangers (27-13-4).
On Monday night, Knicks and Nets games were postponed at Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center, respectively.
