NJ Man Apparently Upset Over Not Meeting President-Elect Arrested At Trump Tower
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have made another arrest at Trump Tower for the second time this week.
Nadav Raviv, 49, of Teaneck, New Jersey was taken into custody Tuesday night.
Police said he was seen hanging out around Trump Plaza all day, and around 7 p.m., he smashed a glass on the floor because he was upset that he had not met President-elect Donald Trump, CBS2 reported.
Officers said he had a forged U.S. Department of Homeland Security permanent resident card on him, and it appears he is not a legal U.S. citizen.
Police say Raviv, who has been charged with forgery, was never a threat to Trump.
His arrest comes a day after Alexander Wang, a 19-year-old Baruch College student, was arrested after trying to bring weapons into Trump Tower, police said.
Wang was stopped when he walked through a metal detector. Inside his bag, the Secret Service said they found several items including a hunting knife, a Swiss Army knife, handcuffs and fireworks.
Wang has been charged with illegal possession of the fireworks and weapons possession.
Wang said he did not mean any harm, and is a survivalist who carries those items everywhere he goes, according to police.
