Truck Driver Injured In Port Newark Accident

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A truck driver was hospitalized Thursday following an accident at Port Newark.

A shipping container fell onto a truck, crushing part of the cab and injuring the driver inside, CBS2 reported.

Chopper 2 flew over as emergency crews surrounded the area.

The 43-year-old driver was conscious when he was transported to University Hospital's trauma center, investigators said.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
