Snow Falling Across Parts Of Tri-State, Causing Slick Conditions

NEW YORK (CBSNew York/AP) -- Snow is falling across parts of the Tri-State which is already causing slick roads and slowing the ride home.

Snow was sticking to the roads in Astoria, Queens where CBS2's Alice Gainer was out in Mobile2. And although it's snowing, it's not deterring holiday shoppers.

CBS2's Vanessa Murdock was with shoppers at the The Mills at Jersey Gardens. "I'm a winter baby - snow don't bother me," said shopper Lila Montoya.

A winter weather advisory is in effect through 1 a.m. Saturday for eastern Suffolk County on Long Island.

In New Jersey, a winter weather advisory is also in effect from Ocean County south to 9 p.m. Friday. Forecasters say accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are possible.
